Working in the restaurant business runs in the family.

We (Noe and David) are brothers who started out as busboys years ago at the Tippecanoe Country Club in Monticello, Indiana. And we later helped our father whenever we could at La Plaza, his grocery store that’s next door to La Fiesta Burrito.

This restaurant was open for about 12 years before we took over in October 2018. When the previous owners retired from La Fiesta, they called our dad to offer it to him since La Plaza was doing well. But Dad didn’t have enough employees to take on another business, so he spoke to us about becoming owners.

 

Our experience (and love for authentic, fresh food) helped us take over La Fiesta.

We knew we could succeed in the restaurant industry with Noe’s cooking and business background, as well as David’s serving and people skills. After a few talks over dinner, we decided to go for it!

Once we became owners, we got to work updating menu items and adding our own. Our time around authentic street food gave us plenty of ideas for dishes that we hadn’t found in any other Mexican restaurant.

We also decided to make everything from scratch to avoid changing the flavor, quality, or authenticity. That means you’ll have to wait longer for your food than at other Mexican restaurants, but your meal will always be worth the wait because it’s so fresh. If we’re going to be known for something, we want to be known for good food!

We care about what you’re eating as much as you do. So we make our dishes, drinks, and desserts from scratch — with no artificial flavors or preservatives. Almost every menu item is gluten-free, and we have dairy-free and vegan options, too.

 

We have years of experience in cooking authentic dishes.

We grew up around street food in Mexico and learned how to prepare traditional, fresh meals in our family-owned restaurant. We love serving the community, getting to know customers, and making food that’s as authentic as it gets.
